Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) is a Medicaid service offered by All-American Home Care (AAHC). CDPAP is an alternative to traditional home health care services. This program allows the consumer (person receiving services) to have more control over his or her care. The consumer or a designated self-directing other (SDO) – usually a family member or a friend – supervises the direction of care and hiring and termination of attendants, in addition to coordinating schedules.

The consumer or the SDO selects an approved agency to act as the fiscal intermediary.
